The Ropa normally dwell at the deep sea floor of Hyrule's oceans, though Bellum's forces grow entire populations to set loose on land based targets. Ropas are almost completely lacking in intelligence and are little more than cannon fodder, though the ease of breeding them in massive numbers makes them ideal units for early expansion.
