The Shadow Temple is a temple located under the churchyard in the village of Kakariko.
History[]
Built by the ancient Sheikah in the graveyard of Kakariko, the Shadow Temple was initially used as a secret prison and execution camp by the Cadre, imprisoning, torturing and killing many of the people trapped within. The pain and torment of those trapped within would eventually attract the Druthulidi Dethl, who the Sheikah sealed deep in the Shadow Temple. After this encounter, the temple changed purpose, and served as a grounds to study weapons and arts considered blasphemous by the Goddesses, leading them to create artifacts such as the Eye of Truth. Eventually the twisted creations took over the Temple and the Sheikah were forced to seal it away forever. Currently it remains empty and buried from access.
Only after countless years would the Shadow Temple be opened again, by Ganon's Moblins under the request of the Yiga mage Bongo. They would brave the temple and its many horrors, such as hordes of Stalfos, ReDeads, and even people driven to maddness by Dethl, the Devoured. The Moblins would triumph against the Druthulidi, seemingly destroying it. However, the being would instead possess Bongo and use her as its host. The Shadow Temple would be resealed by the Sheikah once again after.
