These matured Shadow Insects are actually fairly docile and naturally do little more then lay thousands of eggs before dying. The Twili found other uses for them though: Large mobile rams that can bash into enemy soldiers and unleash electric jolts. While they are not exactly intelligent and are very clumsy on a battlefield, few commanders in the Twili army will argue when enemy soldiers are electrocuted to death by a Shadow Bloat.
