Thyphlo is an Akkalan ruin used as a base by the Keaton Cartel, located along the Lanayru River in Vigjaro Glade, approximately 15 miles northeast of Vigjaro.
History[]
Thyphlo traces its origins to the Tribes of Akkala as they emigrated from Arcadia. Like other Akkalan settlements, it began as a sheltered community, a central noble manor or castle home to one of the larger Houses, surrounded by rural villages governed by their bannermen. The Akkalan House that founded it, as well as the circumstances of its later abandonment, are unknown. The ruin was taken over by the Keaton Cartel as a base for their illicit activities along with their headquarters at Harkinian Manor. A small force of Keaton Marksmen was garrisoned to deter visitors.
In 126 AG, after being ambushed by Order of the Wizzrobe Pyromancers led by Carock, Hylian forces were led by Baron Halthor to the ruin as place to hold out, tenuously working with the Keaton guards and later remnants of Lanayru Province's army to drive back the Wizzrobe. The ruins were heavily damaged by the fighting and the Wizzrobes summoning destructive Chilfos.
Thyphlo consists of a domed structure with a circular walled courtyard flanked by columns, located atop a series of bluffs in the forested hills of Vigjaro Glade.
